It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean M. Barney (Manville, New Jersey), born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 6, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Swiontek and Elizabeth Swiontek; her husband Arthur E. Barney; and her siblings, Helen (Albert), Stella Sieghman (Eugene), Sophie (Joseph), John Swiontek (Leona) and Stanley Swiontek.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jean Mazalewski (James) of Hopatcong and Karen Bove (Victor) of Raritan; her grandsons, Christopher and Tyler Bove; her siblings, Dolores Dalla Verde, Joseph Swiontek and Josephine Thieman; and her sister-in-law Jean Jones.
