He is survived by: his wife Laura Pernicone Hughes; his children, Michael S. Hughes and Patricia Barr; his brother David Hughes (Diane); his grandchildren, Jordan (Elizabeth), Alec (Molly), Jacob and Anabeth; his great grandchildren, Austin and Mason; his brother-in-law Dr. Joseph Pernicone; and his caregiver Amber Marzullo.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Oliverie Funeral Home (2925 Ridgeway Rd, Manchester Township, NJ 08759). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Joseph's Cemetery (56 Cedar Grove Rd, Toms River, NJ 08753).
