He was predeceased by: his wife Mary L. Schmitt; and his brother Robert Schmitt. He is survived by: his sons, John C. (Stacey Schmitt) and William D. (Kellie Schmitt); and his grandchildren, Ryan, Allison and John W. Schmitt.
