He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary P Heidelberger; his daughter Trish Braun (Eric); his sister Kathleen Davenport, MD; his grandchildren, Grace, Erin, Cecilia, William, Christopher, Kate, Annaliese and Bladen; and also, John Heidelberger, Ken Heidelberger, Barbara, George Heidelberger, Danielle, Jeff Heidelberger and Jeanne.
