With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Patrick Hughes (Manchester Township, New Jersey), born in Jersey City, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 11, 2024 at the age of 91. He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Hughes and Dolores Hughes; and his siblings, Joseph, Francis, Gabriel, George, Gerald, John, Clare, Mary, Rita, Thecla and Winifred.

He is survived by: his son Dr. James Hughes, Jr. (Lilliana) of Villages, FL; his wife Dorothy Hughes (NJ); his son John Hughes; his grandson Nicholas; and his sisters-in-law, Lillian and Ruth Hughes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
