With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Susanne Sauer (Manasquan, New Jersey), born in Rahway, New Jersey, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Susanne left this world on April 23, 2025 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Hay and Evelyn Hay; her brother James Hay; and her sister-in-law Joan Schell. She is survived by: her husband Alfred H. Sauer; her children, Alfred Sauer (Tammy), Eileen Skillrud (Marcus), James Sauer (Melissa McDermott) and Lynn Sauer; her grandchildren, Emily, Jessica, Rhys and Hayley; her sister Patricia Miller (James); and her sisters-in-law, Patricia Kemps (Jacques), Maureen Interdonato (Robert), Marilyn Payne (Richard) and Christine Crossman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Our Lady Star of the Sea Beach Chapel (554 E Main St, Manasquan, NJ 08736). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady Star of the Sea Chapel (554 E Main St, Manasquan, NJ 08736).
