He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Kowitski and Elizabeth McKinley; his brothers, Gene Kowitski and Joseph Kowitski; and his children, Cheryl Kowitski, Robert Kowitski, Thomas Kowitski (Renee) and Marc Kowitski.
He is survived by: his wife Pilar Kowitski; his daughter-in-law Pamela Kowitski; his stepchildren, Ana Galvano (Charlie), Daniel Seme (Jordan) and Catherine Schmid (Jonathan); his grandchildren, Tony Smith (Jacqueline), Robert Kowitski (Dana), Steven Kowitski, Crista Kowitski, Leonidas Galvano, Sophia Seme and Lola Pilar Schmid; his great grandchildren, Alexa and Alyssa Smith; and his son Mel.
