He is survived by: his children, Susan Groff (Fran) of Brielle, Barbara Holly (Brian) of Manasquan, Catherine Pringle (Steven) of Sea Girt, Charles Van Benschoten III (Sandy) of Sea Girt and Nancy Melfi (Joe) of Manasquan. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
