He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Crombie II and Bertha. He is survived by: his wife Ann Crombie of Freehold; his daughter Jennifer Crombie (Shealyn) of Freehold Borough; his sister-in-law Linda Sendziak of Parlin; his nephew Vincent Sendziak (Jenn); his niece Denise Sendziak (Robert Hutchinson); his great-niece Alyssa Sendziak; and his great-nephews, Jonathan Sendziak and Ryan Hutchinson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

“Dear Ann and Jennifer: Words can't express the sorrow that we feel after losing our dear best friend Bill. He put up a valiant battle against an awful disease and outlived most people with the same. We really enjoyed our last game of Mexican Dominoes with him and the last time we went to Clarizio's. Our friendship has lasted 44 years and counting.
