He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Tobia; his sons, Richard, Joseph (Doreena), Robert (Sue), Christopher (Carolynn) and Scott; his father Frank Kohler; his grandchildren, Fallyn, Carissa, Brielle, Joey, Jenni, Danielle, Dylan and Tyler; his great grandchildren, Evangeline, Noah and Scarlett; and his sibling Chris Kohler.

Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Galante Funeral Home-Union (2800 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Galante Funeral Home (2800 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083). A Mass was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (259 Oliver St, Newark, NJ 07105). A burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at the Marlboro Memorial Cemetery.
