He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Abbate and Lena Abbate; his sister Linda Formichelli; and his wife Catherine Abbate. He is survived by: his children, Nicholas Abbate (Ann), Lisa Abbate (Darrell), Phyllis Abbate (Cameron) and Joanne Abbate; his siblings, Nicholas Abbate (Gilda) and Jessica Mantia (Louis); and his grandchildren, Ella, Nicholas, Ava, Violet and James.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home (344 US-9, Englishtown, NJ 07726). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church (186 Gordons Corner Rd, Manalapan Township, NJ 07726).
