She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Charles LaSpisa and Maria Falanga; her husband Dr. John C. Powers, Jr.; her daughters, Carla Ruth Powers and Janis Irene Powers; her sister Christine Dorsey; her stepsisters, Helen Yusko and Carolyn Katzoff; her cousin Miriam Roche; and her grandchildren, Olivia, Gwen, Ruby, Veronica and Barrett.
