He was predeceased by: his wife Veronica M; his daughter Susan Shenk; his siblings, John Hillman and Lucille Sweetser; and his grandson Keith Hillman.

He is survived by: his children, Walter Hillman Jr. of Hauppague, NY, Peter Hillman of West Creek, NJ, John Hillman and Lucille Mayeux; and his sister Irene Goforth. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
