He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Ritacco and Joyce Ritacco; and his brother James DiRuggiero. He is survived by: his wife Susan Ritacco; his children, Frank Ritacco (Elizabeth), Gina Sicilia (Joseph) and Juli Ritacco; and his siblings, Joy Maschi (Augie), Deborah Petrillo and Frank Ritacco.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial Processing, 501 St. Jude Pl.
