He was predeceased by: his father John W. Popovich, Sr.; and his stepmother Edith Popovich. He is survived by: his wife Donna L. Popovich; his stepson Steven Tucker (Kim); his grandson Ozzie; his stepsons, Jordan Tucker and Robert Tucker; and his mother-in-law Nancy Cavalier. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
