It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Mooney of Manahawkin, New Jersey, born in North Arlington, New Jersey, who passed away on September 18, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael and Agnes; and his siblings, Joseph, Arlyne and Marilyn.

He is survived by: his children, Jack Mooney of West, VA, Maureen, Kathleen Mooney-Smith of Cream Ridge, NJ and Tim Mooney of Bedminster, NJ; his children-in-law, Rich Smith and Carol Mooney; his sister Janice of West Orange, NJ; his grandchildren, Bryan, Allyson, Molly, Colin and Karina; and his wife Eileen. He is also survived by in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid 19 guidelines, the funeral home is operating at restricted capacity. Please note that face masks and social distancing are required at all times for all in attendance.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Food Pantry – St. Vincent de Paul, Barnegat, NJ.

“We are saddened to hear about Jacks passing. I remember well the day my parents were looking to move to Ocean Acres and Fred Stryker brought us over to Jack & Eileen’s Home to view. That event changed their lives. They moved in and were Jack & Eileen’s neighbors for 21 years. Please let Eileen know that Ron & Lois Valle are sorry for your loss, and appreciated being your neighbors for so many years. God’s Blessings to your family as you celebrate a life well lived.
