It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claire Grant of Manahawkin, New Jersey, born in Cliffside Park, New Jersey, who passed away on February 26, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John McKenna and Helen McKenna (Gorman); her siblings, Raymond, John, Vincent McKenna and Helen Carapezzi; her husband Edmond F. Grant; her daughter Claire Johns; and her granddaughter Alyssa Claire Johns.
She is survived by: her children, Edmond Grant (Susan) of Baden, Pennsylvania, Jacqueline Black (William) of Manahawkin, Cathleen Battler (Charles) of Beach Haven and Michael Grant (Adonia) of Frisco; her son-in-law Steve Johns of Manahawkin; and her grandchildren, Ted Grant, Maureen Toppin, Maggy Porter, Amanda Toth, Daniel Black, Robert Ferringo, Steven Johns, Brian Battler, Daniel Battler, Michael Battler, McKenna Grant and Addison Grant. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
