It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ralph J. Vita of Mahwah, New Jersey, born in Suffern, New York, who passed away on April 23, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dominick Vita and Nancy Vita (Speranza); and his sister Mary DeJoie (Anthony) of Mahwah, NJ.. He is survived by: his wife Joann Vita (Schwack); his sister Natlie Wrynn (James) of Tuxedo, NY; his daughters, Sarah, Christina Vita of Mahwah and Karen Robator (Jeffrey) of Mahwah; and his grandchildren, Kaylee, Cameron, Peyton and Brady Robator.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Ralph to The First Presbyterian Church of Ramsey, 15 Shuart Lane Ramsey, NJ 07446.

“Dear Jo Ann and family, Susan just let me know about Ralph's passing. What a very dear man. He was on my mind about a week ago. Perhaps he was 'making the rounds' with those who loved him. I am privileged to be one of those. Strong and gentle and wise - he seemed to always 'get' what life was really about. What a loss you must all be feeling. I wish I could be with you on the 13th, and would be if I weren't in concert at that very time (3PM Lincoln Center Plaza). -with love, Deborah King”
