It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary A. Fotiu of Mahwah, New Jersey, born in Staten Island, New York, who passed away on September 18, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Matilda Sarlo and David Sarlo; her husband Eustace Fotiu (Huey); her brother Angelo Sarlo; and her grandson Matthew Simone.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Simone (Greg), Dennis Fotiu (Lynne McHugh), Ronald Fotiu (Linda) and Huey Fotiu; her grandchildren, Nicole Simone, Marissa Simone (Ryan Heckman), Stephen Fotiu (Melina), Ali Kawalec (Tom) and Jenny Checkley (Bill); and her great grandchildren, Sonny, Augie, Ava, Bella, Billy and Luke.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home (109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey, NJ 07446). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, September 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception RC Church (900 Darlington Ave, Mahwah, NJ 07430). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 24th 2024 at 12:15 PM at the Maryrest Cemetery (770 Darlington Ave, Mahwah, NJ 07430).
