He was predeceased by: his great grandchild Jill Spiech. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Walsh Spiech; his children, John Spiech (Carolle) and Susan Watkins (Mike); his grandchildren, Melissa Klatt, Jackie and Alex Eib; his daughter Holly Lanigan (Danny); and his grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Colin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
