He was predeceased by: his wife Frieda Lentz; and his son Garry Lentz. He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey Lentz and Ronald Lentz (Jeanne); his grandchildren, Jesse Lentz (Aimee), Eric Lentz (Amanda), Ryan Lentz (Jenna), Robert Lentz and Briana Lentz; and his great grandchildren, Blair, Hayden and Abby Lentz.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Memorial (113 S Farview Ave, Paramus, NJ 07652). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at the George Washington Memorial Park (234 Paramus Rd, Paramus, NJ 07652).
