He is survived by: his wife Karen Hertel-Koenig; his son Kevin Alfred Hertel Koenig of Bloomingdale; his mother Marion "Midge" Koenig of Mahwah; his siblings, Mark Koenig (Kim) of Jefferson Township, PA, Kathy Koenig of Mahwah and Karin Koenig of Charlotte, NC; his brothers-in-law, Jeffery Hertel (Dena) of Franklin Lakes and James (Maureen) of Oakland; his nieces, Kristin and Katelyn Hertel; and his nephew Eric Hertel.
