She was predeceased by: her parents, John Mead and Louise Mead; her husband William Lyle Schaeffer; her daughter Mary Louise Schaeffer; and her siblings, John, Jane, Rose, Margaret and Joseph.

She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Hollenbach, Carol Mateo (Alan), Judith Schaeffer-Benoit (Edward) and Barbara Schaeffer; her siblings, James, Patrick, Claire and Louise; and her grandchildren, Melanie, Amy, Austin, Geneva, Brianne, Levi and Amber. She is also survived by great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
