He was predeceased by: his mother Maureen (Merrigan). He is survived by: his uncle Joe; his father Robert of Poortere; his wife Jennifer (Ryan); his daughter Nora; and his brothers, Robert "P. J." (Caroline), Thomas (Patricia), Michael (Melanie), Jimmy (Christine) and Patrick (Melissa). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
In lieu of flowers, and to honor the greatest joy of Joe's life, an educational fund will be organized for his daughter Nora at a later date.
