Though Phyllis may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Scelsa and Lucy Scelsa of Lyndhurst, N. J.; and her sister Marie Ross (Arthur). She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Barbara Zane, Judith Ross, Robert Ross (Sherry), Richard Ross, Raymond Ross (Lesa) and Ronald Ross (Sue). She is also survived by two great-nieces, three great-nephews and two great-great-nieces.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the John E. Day Funeral Home (85 Riverside Ave, Red Bank, NJ 07701). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 4:30 PM at the same location.
