In the sacred silence of farewell, Jose Alves is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Jose Alves' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Maria Olivia DaSilva; his children, Ricardo DaSilva and Gyselle Gaudio (William); his grandchildren, Matthew DaSilva, Sarah DaSilva, Aaron Gaudio and Ashley Gaudio; and his siblings, Manuel DaSilva and Esperanca Lopes. He was also cherished by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
