John M. Vilchock Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John M. Vilchock of Lyndhurst, New Jersey, born in Taylor, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 21, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though John may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He was predeceased by: his wife Mary M.; his brothers, Bernard Vilchock and Raymond Vilchock; and his parents, John J. Vilchock and Anna Vilchock.

He is survived by: his children, Julie Vilchock Darby (Robert) and Alan M. Vilchock (Liz); and his grandson Austin Michael Vilchock. He is also survived by canine companion, Cookie, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home (1313 Van Houten Ave, Clifton, NJ 07013). A prayer was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel (96 1st St, Passaic, NJ 07055).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel, 96 First Street, Passaic, NJ 07055 or American Legion Post #139, 217 Webster Avenue, Lyndhurst, NJ 07071 for our Veterans.
