She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett VanEekelen and Helena VanEekelen (Goes); and her siblings, Everett VanEekelen and Alberta McNeil. She is survived by: her husband Harold Slater; her daughters, Patricia (Joseph Marone) of Toms River, NJ and Susan Slater-Tanner (Gary) of Monroe, NY; and her sister Helen Werenski. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
