She was predeceased by: her husband Patrick Ferrara; and her grandson Joseph Pavlica, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Pavlica (Joseph), Rosemary Paleologos (Andrew) and Susan Cowell; and her grandsons, Nicholas and Justin Paleologos.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carmela's memory to Margaret Engel Endowment Trust for Sacred Heart School, 620 Valley Brook Avenue, Lyndhurst, NJ 07071.
