He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Janet H. McDaniel; his children, Teresa Nettleton, Barbara Shattuck (David Shattuck), Margaret Faris (late David Faris), Joseph McDaniel and Jennifer Watson (James Watson); his grandchildren, Christopher Nettleton, Ryan Nettleton, George Shattuck, Joshua Shattuck, Michael Baver, Stephanie Baver, Jessica Lauria, Genevieve Watson and Everet Watson; and his great grandchildren, Aiden, Connor, Gabriel, Evan, Harrison, Lucas, Claire and Veronica.
