He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Sykes III and Nancy Burke Sykes; his brother Donald J. Sykes; and his pet Finnegan. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Godshall Sykes; and his children, Erin A. Sykes and John J. Sykes V.
An in-person Catholic mass will be held on Saturday January 2, 2020 at 10am at Holy Trinity Parish: Blessed Sacrament Church in Margate, NJ with social distancing and mask requirements.
