He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Bud" Heininger and Betty Heininger (Stottlemyer); and his stepmother Anna Mary "Boots" Heininger (Stover). He is survived by: his wife Linda Heininger (Brandt) of Palermo; his son Brandt Heininger of Somers Point; and his pets, Daisy and Max.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Beacon Animal Rescue, 701 Butter Road, Ocean View, NJ 08230.
