He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Doherty and Marion Doherty (Curley); and his wife Jane "Ann" Doherty. He is survived by: his children, Allyson Ann Doherty and Ian William Doherty; his siblings, Cathy Thorne and Frank Doherty; and his siblings-in-law, Marlene and Ivan White. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and grand-nieces.
