Prince Sims Obituary
We bid farewell to Prince Sims (Long Branch, New Jersey), born in Saint Petersburg, Florida, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 18, 2024 at the age of 81. Prince touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Prince Sims and Purnace Kelly Sims; his sister Miriam Payne; and his daughter Kara Stevens. He is survived by: his children, Carla Vaughn (Henry III) of St. Petersburg, Florida, Karen Smith of Gibsonton, Florida and Jared Sims of Neptune; his grandchildren, Kredelle Vaughn of Clearwater, Florida, Henry Vaughn IV of St. Petersburg, Florida, Marcus Vaughn of Clearwater, Florida, Ayisha Smith of Dallas, Texas, Isaiah Smith of Gibsonton, Florida and Genoveve Stevens of New Jersey; his brother-in-law Carlton Payne (Mary) of Blythewood; his brother Johnny Archer of Palm Coast, Florida; his partner Gail R. Davis; and his sons, Bobby Stafford and Shamaar Davis. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM and at 12:00 PM at the Lawson Funeral Home & Cremation Services (243 Broadway, Long Branch, NJ 07740).
