She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Ayres and Mary Ayres; her husband Daniel Monahan; her children, John Monahan and Rosemary Strickland; her son-in-law Joseph Strickland; her granddaughter Patricia Strickland; and her siblings, Marie O'Reilly and Joseph "Buddy" Ayres.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Cronin and Daniel Monahan; her daughter-in-law Terry Monahan; her grandchildren, Michele Pigna (Aldo), Sean Strickland (Heather), Amy Arlequin (Raul), Brian Cronin (Daniella), Matthew Cronin, Dana Slade, Erin Cronin (Steve) and Megan Monahan; and her great grandchildren, Aldo, Alex, Sean, Jack, Nicholas, Conor, Sophia, Michael, Keira and Callum. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church (800 Ocean Ave N, Long Branch, NJ 07740).
