It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maire Sweeney (Long Branch, New Jersey), who passed away on February 9, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James (Nora Sweeney) and Donegal; and her siblings, Paddy Sweeney and Nora Sweeney. She is survived by: her sister Eileen Campbell; her brother-in-law Paddy Campbell; her brother Eamonn Sweeney; her sister-in-law Marian; her daughter Fiona Keegan; her son-in-law John Keegan; and her grandsons, Michael and Liam Keegan. She is also survived by extended family, her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

“Maire and I met while we were both shopping a few years ago. An unlikely couple of new acquaintances, she was a mature woman from Ireland and I, a middle aged woman from Colombia. We both loved fashion and meeting new people. Our relationship grew and we saw each other on occasion and drank tea and had wonderful conversation.
