With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James D. McGee Jr. of Long Branch, New Jersey, born in Norfolk, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 28, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James D. McGee and Betty J. Hooker McGee; and his brother Stephan Michael McGee. He is survived by: his close friend Ulysses Clax; his siblings, Anita Katz (Stuart), Jerry Alan McGee (Linda) and Douglas McGee (Joanne); his nieces and nephews, Dana Struyf, Heather Xavier (Dan), Cody McGee (Erin), Jeremy Seith (Amanda), Dayton Emmons, Laverne, Arlene and Ivy; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Casey, Emily, Zoey Xavier, Guilianna Frulio, Violet and Peyton Seith; and his friend Denzel Donaldson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Higgins Memorial (20 Center St, Freehold, NJ 07728). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at the Old Tennent Cemetery.
