He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Kathleen; his daughters, Catherine Shirinian (Shant) and Jacqueline Walis (Brian); his grandchildren, Matthew Thomas Shirinian (Amanda), Bridget Shirinian (Boris Todorovski), Brian Walis, Jr. (Tracy) and Brendan Walis (Camille Robertson); his great grandchildren, Vincent Thomas Shirinian and Avery Walis; and his brothers, Martin Whelan, John Whelan (Kathleen Byrnes), Pat Whelan, Michael Whelan and Desmond Whelan (Marie Dromgoole). He was also cherished by his many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family.
