He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia; and his parents, Michael and Antonette. He is survived by: his sons, Michael P. Matassa (Diane) and Peter Matassa, Jr. (Laura); his grandchildren, Christopher, Daniel (Chelsea), Lindsay (Joe) and Julianne; and his great grandchildren, Liam and Callie.
