He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Avola Sr.; and his siblings, Salvatore "Sam" Avola and Marion Blanos. He is survived by: his daughters, Debra Avola-Aiellos and Karon Avola (David Klopacz); his grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Douglas and Lexi; and his brother Louis Avola.
