He was predeceased by: his wife Rita; his parents, Angelo Shortino and Josephine Shortino; and his siblings, Joseph Shortino and Lucy Mancuso.
He is survived by: his sons, John A. (Debra) and Jerry A.; his wife Jennifer; and his grandchildren, John, Jr. (Allison), Nicholas (Melissa), Emily and Sarah.
