He is survived by: his parents, Carmen Marchitello and Joyce McNaughten Marchitello; his son Michael Marchitello Jr.; his siblings, Anthony Marchitello, Kathryn Marchitello, Joyce Aromando (Marchitello) and Jessica Marchitello; and his close friend Freckles.
His heart was enormous even in death, he chose to improve someone else's life with the gift of organ, tissue and eye donations.
