Irene Holynskyj Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Irene Holynskyj of Livingston, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 28, 2025 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Irene Holynskyj to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nestor (Bohdanna Welyczkowsky) and Irene; her husband Osyp Holynskyj; her siblings, Wolodymyr Welyczkowsky and Yaroslava Zerebeckyj; and her daughter-in-law Lori Holynskyj.
She is survived by: her children, Nestor Holynskyj (Larissa), Christine Chraplyvy (Andrew), Andrew Holynskyj and Oleh (Ariadna); her grandchildren, Mark Chraplyvy, Damian Holynskyj (Leigh), Adrian Chraplyvy, Lelia Byrne (Justin), Natalia Chraplyvy, Alexa, Sophia, Markian and Julian Holynskyj; and her great grandchildren, Finbar, Fergus, Cormac Byrne, Anabelle, Charlotte Chraplyvy, Ava and Ella Holynskyj.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Union Funeral Home - Lytwyn & (1600 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, NJ 07083). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A graveside service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Andrew's Ukrainian Cemetery (281 Main St, South Bound Brook, NJ 08880).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Irene to the St. John's Charitable Fund.
