He was predeceased by: his wife Ursula; his brother Harry Torella; and his parents, Jimmy and Marie. He is survived by: his children, James Torella (Francine) and Marie Reiff (Rich); his stepsons, Ben and Dean Gabriel; his daughter-in-law Katharina; his grandchildren, Keith, Chrissy, Jacqueline Reiff, Jimmy, Joshua Torella, Benjamin and Julienne Gabriel; and his great grandchild Jimmy.
