She was predeceased by: her parents, Mildred King Sangree and John Brewster Sangree; her husband George McCarten; her daughter Hannorah McCarten; her brother John Sangree (Houston); her siblings-in-law, Joan Sangree and William Schearer; and her parents-in-law, Stan and Lavinia McCarten.
She is survived by: her sister Abigail Sangree Schearer; her children, Denis McCarten of New Gretna and Eileen McCarten of Leeds Point, NJ; her granddaughter Moira Sallade (Joss Sallade) of Richmond, VA; her great grandchild Hayes Sallade; and her sister Abigail Shearer. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, their children and grandchildren.
