Though Nancy may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Nancy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmanuel HeeraLal and Feroza HeeraLal. She is survived by: her husband Mohammad Abbas; and her siblings, Alec, Earnest and Martha. She is also survived by sisters-in-laws; brother-in law; nieces; nephews.

“My career path was significantly influenced by Mrs. Abbas. She supported me through the county in my efforts to return to school and obtain my bachelor's degree. She was very encouraging and supportive. As an older student, she shared words of encouragement and expressed how proud she was of me. I would visit her at the office in Pleasantville many times, and she continued to be supportive and encouraging.”
