He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Welsh and Eleanor; and his brothers, Edward and Joseph. He is survived by: his wife June Welsh; his children, Charlie Welsh (Shawn Marie), Kristen Welsh-Capaldi (Shawn) and John Welsh (Kristy); his grandchildren, Justin Mittleman (Emily), Kevin Mittleman and Casey Rodriguez; his sisters, Barbara Schoppy and Carol Rifice (Vincent); and his sisters-in-law, Caroline Phillips, Charlene Welsh and Barbara Welsh. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of his grandson, Kevin Mittleman, can be made to organizations dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities, including Able Acres Farm, Brigantine Adaptive Rowing Club, FA 4Autism, Heart of Surfing, SJ Field of Dreams (including Hoops 4 All), and The ARC of Atlantic County.
