He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Harris Sr. and Louvenia Scaife Harris. He is survived by: his brother Walter; his former wife Velma Lynch; his stepson Khamisi; his goddaughter Jalissia Turner; his grandchildren, Erick Loften Harris, Michael Mickens, Sayge Mickens, Syir Mickens, Yandel Harris and Shorter Harris; his wife Markette Henderson; his children, Frederick Douglas Harris Jr., Alya Mickens and Sendelli Bryan Harris (Spike); his daughter-in-law Yari Donatiu-Harris; and his grandchild Shomar Harris. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, other relatives and friends.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Morning Star Community Christian Center (1009 Chandler Ave, Linden, NJ 07036). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
