She was predeceased by: her parents, Karl Bruder and Frances Bruder; her cousin Caroline; her husband George Babyak, Jr.; her son-in-law James McKelvey; and her sister-in-law Maryann Zalink.

She is survived by: her cousin Evelyn; her daughters, Karen Therkildsen (John), Andrea Caamano (José), Tracey Capalbo (Joseph) and Karleen McKelvey (Michael); her grandchildren, Erik Therkildsen (Jill), Dana Therkildsen (Amy), Joseph Caamano (Allison), Christina Caamano, Viviana Caamano, Joseph Capalbo (Alyssa), Nicolette Capalbo, Matthew McKelvey and Jason McKelvey; her great grandchildren, Joseph, Jordi, Leo Caamano and Kalina Therkildsen; her brother-in-law Lewis Zalink; her nephew David; and her nieces, Marianne and Stacianne.

Visitation was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Werson Funeral Home (635 N Wood Ave, Linden, NJ 07036). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church (211 W Grand Ave, Rahway, NJ 07065). A burial was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 11:45 AM at the St. Gertrude Cemetery (53 Inman Ave, Colonia, NJ 07067).
