She was predeceased by: her parents, Pauline Whaley (Beese) and Royal Inslee Whaley; her husband Frederick G. Barny; and her siblings, Royal I. Whaley, Authur B. Whaley, William T. Whaley and Robert V. Whaley.

She is survived by: her children, Lois A. Gloss (Walter), Janet Hulighan, Fred G. Barny, Jr. (Debra) and Bryan D. Barny (Kathy). She is also survived by grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
